SMTP authentication will be usually either on or off, however since we use an
external program, you can theoretically limit only 'some' users to have
this, however, SMTP authentication still honours the default relays in
tcprules. By that, I mean SMTP authentication, simply adds a person to the
Relay list, if they aren't already on it. Most of the time, system admins
tend to use the same program for SMTP auth as they do for checking POP
passwords, but you can either specify a seperate program, or write a wrapper
to limit SMTP auth to only certain people.
