Hi,

Out of curiosity how have you specified the qmail-queue program
when using the magic-smtpd? The only way to do this currently is to
put the name of the qmail-queue program into a control file
"/etc/magic-mail/control/qmail_queue". You could do this with the
following command for example:

echo "/usr/bin/qmail-scanner" > /etc/magic-mail/control/qmail_queue

assuming that you normally use the QMAILQUEUE patch and define the
environment variable QMAILQUEUE="/usr/bin/qmail-scanner". In a future
release, we will support the QMAILQUEUE environment variable as well.
Also please note that although the documentation is not clear on this
point, currently you need to run magic-smtpd with root permissions if
you are going to be using it for valid user checking or per-user spam
checking. This will also hopefully be fixed soon.

    Thanks,
      Josh
