Normally anti-virus checking is not done at the SMTP level, but rather
at the qmail-local level.  In this case most likely you can replace your
qmail-smtpd with magic-smtpd without changing the virus checker.  At
some point in the future we plan to release an opensource version of the
magic-local portion of our mailserver, which will support virus
checking and more spam rules which are unavailable at the SMTP level.
