i installed magic-smtpd as directed in the file
INSTALL.
i restarted qmail as directed also. smtp auth is still not
working, and in fact i can't really tell if magic-smtpd is doing anything.
i am a linux newbie so i very well may have missed some
crucial step - yet i followed them to the letter as in the directions. finding
any additonal docs on this has also been difficult.
the INSTALL file also states that magic is installed in
/etc/magic-mail - its not there... the installation did appear to go ok however.
i'm basically after a facility that will allow smtp auth with
qmail so users can send using my server.
any suggestions or checks i should perform would be most
appreciated.
