RE: [magicmail-users] spam_check will not enable
I can get the spam checking enabled (without per system user spam checking)
if I edit spam_rules.in to make 1 the default for the three categories I was
trying to enable through control files, but I can't get it to read the
control files to enable the options.
It would appear to be a bug since the log identifies the correct directory.
It says it's reading the control files from that directory but acts like
there are no control files.
Here's another issue I've found. I use qmailscanner with the QMAILQUEUE
patch to do virus and spam scanning (spamassassin). When the spam checking
is enabled (by modifying the defaults) qmailscanner no longer runs. Does
magic-smtp bypass qmail-queue?

As per item 9) in INSTALL
If you wish to have per system user spam checking enabled,
create a directory called spam_users in the directory specified
by the MSD_CONTROLDIR environment variable (which defaults
to /var/qmail/control). For each user that is to be allowed spam
checkingcreate a file corresponding to that user. ie. to allow spam
checking for all alias users:
touch $MSD_CONTROLDIR/spam_users/alias
To enable per user spam checking, set MSD_PER_USER_SPAM_ENABLE
environment variable to 1.
So, to answer your question,yes...
Do you have a spam_users directory?
